Vinyasa is also known as flow yoga. The term Vinyasa in yoga has various definitions depending on the context. According to Srivatsa Ramaswami, it derives from the Sanskrit words 'vi' (variation) and 'Nyasa' (within prescribed parameters). He references the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which highlight specific parameters like steadiness (Sthira), comfort (Sukha), and smooth breathing (Prayatna Sithila).
